Cricket Tournaments
Run a league in CloudMonet: pick the squads, generate the fixtures, start each fixture as a live-scored match, and the points table and leaderboards update as results come in. Tournament graphics (points table, fixtures and results, leaders) update with them.
Set up a tournament
Create it
Open Tournaments in the workspace sidebar and click New tournament. Give it a name and pick the overs per innings (the default for its matches).
Pick the squads
Tick each squad taking part. A squad is a team's full player list; each match picks its XI from it. Click New squad to add one without leaving the dialog: a name, a 2–4 letter short code, a colour, and the players one per line.
Points (optional)
A win is worth 2, a tie or no result 1. Open Points to change them. Teams level on points are split by net run rate, then wins.
The tournament opens in its Tournament Centre.
Fixtures
On the Fixtures tab, generate a round-robin:
- Play each other once: every squad plays every other squad.
- Home and away: each pair plays twice.
Or add fixtures one at a time with Add fixture. Set each fixture's date, time and venue from its ••• menu. Times show in the time zone the tournament was created in.
Playing a fixture
Click Start match on a fixture. The match set-up opens with both squads and the tournament's overs filled in: pick each side's XI and the toss, then Create match. Its Match Centre opens, ready to score.
While it's being scored, the fixture shows the live score. When it finishes, it shows the result, and the table and leaderboards update.
Deleting a tournament match (from its Match Centre) returns the fixture to unplayed and takes the result out of the table.
Table and leaders
- Table: played, won, lost, tied, no result, net run rate and points, with each side's last five results. Net run rate is runs per over scored minus runs per over conceded; a side bowled out counts as having faced its full overs.
- Leaders: most runs, wickets and sixes across finished matches.
Tournament graphics
On the Graphics tab, click Add graphic and pick a points table, fixtures or leaders graphic (the Cricket Points Table, Cricket Fixtures & Results and Cricket Leaders templates are built for this). Its fields link to the tournament automatically.
Each graphic has its own output: copy its OBS output URL from the ••• menu, and take it on and off air from the tab. Match graphics, like the scorebug, belong to each match, not the tournament.
Tournament graphics also appear in every match of the tournament, tagged Tournament in the Match Centre's Graphics list. Take them on air, reorder them among the match's own graphics, and include them in the match's OBS output, the same as the match's graphics. They're the same graphics, not copies: edit one once and every match shows the change. Graphics added to the tournament later appear in its matches automatically.
To leave one out of a particular match, choose Hide in this match from its ••• menu. It moves to Hidden in this match at the bottom of the list, where Show brings it back. To remove a graphic from every match, remove it on the tournament's Graphics tab.
A tournament graphic has one on-air state. If two matches of the same tournament are live at once, taking it on air in one puts it on air in the other too.
Squads and settings
- Squads: edit a squad's players. A player who keeps their name keeps their stats.
- Settings: rename the tournament, change its overs or points, or add and remove squads. A squad with fixtures can't be removed until its fixtures are.
- Delete (bin icon): removes the tournament, its fixtures, table and leaderboards. Its matches and squads are kept.
