Object Properties

This page covers the Design tab of the object panel — where the Properties panel shows all configurable settings for the selected object, grouped under Transform.

Common properties

PropertyDescription
LabelA name for the object, shown in the layer stack. A button next to it recenters the object into the canvas.
X / YPosition from the top-left corner of the canvas (or of its Frame, if it's inside one — see below)
Width / HeightSize in pixels
AngleRotation in degrees
OpacityTransparency, from 0 to 1
Scale (X / Y)Independent scale multipliers, separate from Width/Height. Linked by default — click the link icon to scale each axis independently.
Center pointA 3×3 grid you click to set the anchor point used when scaling or rotating
TypeRead-only — the object's type (text, rect, image, etc.)

If an object is inside a Frame, toggle between Position within Frame and Position within Canvas to see its X/Y in either coordinate space.

Object-specific properties

Some object types get extra fields beyond the common set above:

  • Frames get a Fit frame to children button to tightly resize the frame around what's inside it.
  • Images get additional sizing/fit controls — see Images.
  • When exporting to GDL, objects get an extra section for font-size overrides and timing (absolute vs. relative delay/duration) — see Exporting (GDL).

Animating properties

Most properties can be animated over time using keyframes. Move the timeline scrubber to a point in time, adjust the property, and the value is recorded as a keyframe. See Adding & Editing Keyframes.
