The palette is cool and precise — near-black (#0d1117) for the bar, electric blue (#1d9bf0) for the identity block and accent marks, white for scores. There is no red, no gradient, no warm tone. Blue reads as live data, not alarm — the correct register for a score crawler that runs through an entire broadcast. The 3 px blue topline is the only decorative gesture, and it doubles as a visual separator from picture above.
Dual-font identity system
The 200 px identity block uses two fonts deliberately. SCORES in Bebas Neue at 30 px (weight 400, tracked wide) occupies the upper zone — display-grade condensed sans, high air-time legibility at distance. LIVE in Montserrat at 28 px (weight 700, tracking 320) sits below at 75% opacity — present but recessive, a status indicator not a headline. The opacity differential (1.0 vs 0.75) creates hierarchy without a second colour. The 120 ms stagger on LIVE's clip start means SCORES lands first, then LIVE breathes in behind it.
Ticker zone and score formatting
The ticker occupies 1520 px beginning at x:218, in Bebas Neue at 28 px — the same face as the identity block, creating typographic continuity across the bar. Scores are multiline, one match per line (the separator widget inserts blue ● glyphs between items at 18 px bold). The dash separator within each score line — e.g. '2 - 1' — carries an inline character style: blue (#1d9bf0) at 18 px bold, so the score separator reads as a live data accent against the white team names. Speed is 120 px/sec, appropriate for dense sports data where fast rotation keeps scores current.
Clock and colour palette rationale
The clock (Roboto Mono, 22 px, 12-hour ET) sits flush right at x:1760, 45% white opacity — engineered to recede further than a news ticker clock because the scores themselves carry time context. Roboto Mono is chosen deliberately over a proportional face: fixed-width digits prevent width jump as seconds tick, critical for a clock at the edge of a live graphic. The single accent colour (#1d9bf0) is shared by the topline stripe, identity block, divider between scores, and dash inline styles — the template reads as a coherent system despite seven discrete objects.
