Architecture over decoration

The red line signals authority
A 4px accent at the top edge — thin enough to feel precise, saturated enough (#e31c1c) to read at low monitor brightness. Fades in at 300ms, after the band has settled. It signals urgency without stealing the shot.
Staggered label entry
BREAKING enters at 300ms. NEWS follows at 420ms. The 120ms stagger mirrors how the eye reads a two-line stack — structure first, detail second. Yellow (#fbbf24) is the only warm accent on an otherwise cold palette.
