Penalty Shootout Scoreboard
A compact two-plate soccer scoreboard built for penalty-shootout drama: operator-controlled team codes and scores sit above a row of five per-team kick indicators the operator lights up as each penalty is taken.
Single scale-open, not a staggered build
Unlike a full pre-match scorebug, only the outer plate animates in (scaleX 0→1 over 320ms) — the team codes, scores, and PK dots appear with the frame rather than staggering in one by one. A shootout graphic needs to land fast and stay out of the way of the kick itself, not perform an entrance.
Kit-color strip is a delayed accent, not primary identity
The thin Home/Away Kit color bars sit at the bottom of each plate and fade in ~320ms after the plate opens (alpha 0→1 over ~600ms), landing after the plate but before the shootout drama starts. They're a secondary identity cue — the team abbreviation carries the primary read.
Three-state PK dot vocabulary
Each of the five per-side circles is a color-picker locked to three named values — Not taken (#607d8b), Scored (#289e2c), Missed (#e20a0a) — mirroring how a broadcast penalty board is actually operated: grey until taken, then green or red. The dot plays a short Fade on value change so a change registers without pulling focus off the kicker.
Independent Home PKS / Away PKS control groups
Score and PK-dot controls are grouped per side ("Home PKS" / "Away PKS") rather than one combined group, so an operator running a live shootout can find the next kick's control without hunting through the other team's state.
counter widgets in manual mode, incremented via the Control App's counter card. A change plays a short upward Roll animation. Fill color and font size are exposed per side.Ready to use this template?
